There’s no need to have a petition to give Raven the boot after all the stupid things she said years ago but it finally results to this – giving up her seat for her new spin-off for That’s So Raven.
Yes gurl, this is the sweetest tea that will put you into a diabetic coma. The 29-year-old actor announced that she will be leaving The View at the end of this year to get started on the Disney-based production for 2017. This tea is full excitement because everyone have been watching the show since it’s four-year run in 2003. This is now that time that everyone will see the Raven that we loved and missed so much. The reboot of That’s So Raven is a good move for her and here’s three reasons why:
- The opportunity to redeem her career
Let’s not act like Raven is new to this because she’s not. She knows how to bounce back and get going like Beyoncé fell on stage and got back up in formation. After the four-year stint of That’s So Raven, she has changed and that was good then, that was enough. But when she appeared on Oprah’s Where Are They Now, that’s when we saw that she’s been doing too much of changing for the wrong reasons. From the “I don’t want to labeled as an African-American and gay,” “I would not hire someone with a ghetto name,” just all types of stuff that her own father had to finally say that she can say some stupid shit. It was just too much that the gurls tried petitioning her off to get booted off of her daytime gig The View and dragging her for filth. But knowing her to announce that she’s leaving the daytime show to reboot That’s So Raven, this will provide her the stepping stone to revive her acting career.
2. Give everyone a reason to watch Disney again
Between the 1990s and early 2000, everyone had their favorite show on Disney they mostly preferred to watch including That’s So Raven, Kim Possible, Suite Life of Zach & Cody, The Proud Family, Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, etc. Those were the days where we loved the Disney actors before they all grown up, left the Disney scenes, and went off to newfound careers, or otherwise, newfound interests other than acting. Some of them became music artists while others disappeared, went off to pursue a college education or just fell off cliff like Orlando Brown for example.
3. Opens up opportunities for her to get role offers in movie productions and commercial ads
Chile! If some of you don’t see what I see, then you’re missing out. I see so much potential in Raven. She has some movie experience under her belt. If she can act in TV shows, she can act in movies too. We see that she’s done movies that are more on the Disney production but she can expand her horizon and be in movie productions for like Tyler Perry, Warner Brother productions, so much more. She also has the personality to be in a fashionable or comical commercial ads for such as Verizon, Progressive, Geico, just some commercials in between those lines. She’s already proven to us that she can be a co-host for the View, I believe she can do more and working towards a reboot for That’s So Raven is a starting process for her.
Let’s wish her luck on her career and cheer her on.
