Baby, you have to give credit when it’s due. Despite Mahershala Ali being nominated for Best Actor but got gooped, the film Moonlight was honored with the Best Drama Motion Picture award last night at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards.

The film is based on a play called In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue. Moonlight is about a young black man who went through a rough life from childhood to adulthood living in Miami and discovering where he can fit in with his sexuality.

The one-hour and fifty minute long movie was released last year in October nationwide where it opened with 12.7 million in the box office. Congratulations to Barry Jenkins and the cast members.
