NU Women’s Basketball Player Found Dead, Death Ruled A Suicide

This is so sad! Northwestern University Women’s Basketball Player Jordan Hankins (19) was found dead in her dorm room on Monday afternoon at the Foster-Walker Complex.

Cook County Examiners ruled her death as a suicide on Tuesday after releasing a report. Officials were called after 3 p.m.

Hankins, an Indianapolis native, was a sophomore point guard who averaged 3.6 points in 11 games and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She was pursuing a degree in pre-med.

People known her for her “quiet confidence” and her positivity. She made a great impact on the people around and in her circle. We don’t know what lead to this but let us all pray for her family, basketball team, and those who supported her.
