The entire LGBT community is deeply saddened with another loss of a trans woman who made a big impact in everyone’s lives. It’s sad to come to realization that the trans community is being targeted like this.
Chyna Doll Dupree (31), whose real name is Walter Flemming, was killed last night outside a New Orleans shopping mall.
Her body was found with gunshot wounds laying between two cars parked in front of a clothing store. Neighbors of the shopping mall area said that they’ve heard 8 to 10 gun shots.
Dupree was shot several times in the 4300 block of Downman Road around 8:30 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. Downman Road was blocked to Southbound traffic.
Chyna is known across the country for her drag performances and tours. She came from her current residence in California to visit her hometown in New Orleans for Mardi Gras weekend with friends and family.
Lots of LGBT personalities including Amiyah Scott shared posts mourning her shocking death. Many people looked up to her, loved her, and said she’s known to be a loving person who did no harm to anyone. Her death is now the fifth-known murder of trans violence in 2017.
